The Cordillera Huayhuash was ususally started in Chiquian (31 Km. of Conococha) to the northewest, but now can be started from Llámac village, because there is a dirty road from Chiquian to Huallanca that cross near to Matacancha camp; the other start point, sometimes used as ending point of the circuit is Cajatambo located at 300 Km. of Lima.
