Highly experienced cooks/chefs are a key factor in your meals during trekking or climbing in the Peruvian Andes. They understand the logistics and preparation of delicious and nutritious meals.

Peruvian Mountains cares about the nutrition of all its clients. For this reason, before each trekking and climbing season, all Peruvian Mountains cooks participate in a training and refresher course covering hygiene, food preparation, and food handling during trips, to ensure proper nutrition and recovery of energy lost during the day.

All the meals we serve combine traditional and international dishes using fresh ingredients — fruits, vegetables, meats, chicken, eggs — to guarantee the best nutrition. Nutritious breakfasts, energizing lunches, and comforting dinners are prepared inside a kitchen tent.

Cooks are one of the most important parts of mountaineering operations, as they are accustomed to working in camps and outdoors.
