The Huayhuash Alpine Circuit is located in the spectacular of the heart of the Cordillera Huayhuash, the treks route is not the traditional, standard either popular Huayhuash Circuit. The Alpine Circuit is more demanding, technical exposed terrain there is not pathway to follow. Our camp will be within view of blue crystal green turquoise lakes.
During this trek we will see close up the hidden mountains which lie at the feet of the huge, sheer massifs which characterizes the Cordillera Huayhuash Mountains as Rondoy, Ninashanca, Jurao, Trapecio, Siula Grande famous by the film “Touching The Void” and the majestic Yerupaja at 6640m. The second highest peak in the Peruvian Andes.
This is High Alpine Huayhuash trek so requires of two or three days of acclimatization before the hike
We recommend Acclimatization hike day:
• Willcacocha Lake 3600m.
• Churup Lake at 4400m
• Llanganuco and 69 lake at 4600m
• Shallap lake 4250m
Thanks for choosing Peruvian Mountains!
